What is Drag Racing?

Drag Racing is an acceleration contest between two cars or bikes over a quarter of a mile. Both vehicles compete from a standing start and the contest is run through stages of qualifying, in tournament style eliminations. The loser of the race then becomes eliminated and the winner progresses to the next round until there is one driver or rider left.

Not a race against the clock, race times are given for reference purposes only. More importantly, the true aim of Drag Racing is about being consistent with your performances and out driving the opponent.

There are many race classes and eligibility that you can start with. You begin with the smallest car for very little cost, or spend a fortune and drive a 8000BHP dragster. Drag Racing pretty much allows anybody to drive any vehicle, as it complies with the necessary safety and construction rules.
